Encoding is the process of converting analog or digital audio content into another type of compressed form, such as MP3.
The XingMP3 Encoder performs this conversion by measuring the characteristics of the audio content (for example, the amplitude frequency) and storing them as a series of bits conforming to the MPEG specification.
AudioCatalyst uses the XingMP3 Encoder to encode your files. Before encoding, select Preferences, then Encoder to configure your Encoder Preferences.
